Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Patient Contact Clerk to join our team at Medway NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Call Centre, you will play a vital role in ensuring that patients receive exceptional care and support.

Main Responsibilities
  • Promptly answer general telephone enquiries from patients and other members of the public, treating each contact with courtesy, discretion, and tact.
  • Book, amend, cancel, or confirm appointments in line with Trust Policies.
  • Confirm patient information and update demographic details on the relevant booking system.
  • Utilize the Mjog text messaging system to communicate with patients as required.
  • Assist in promoting Quality of Care and maintaining standards within the department.
  • Provide cover for Patient Contact colleagues during periods of absence, ensuring the opening hours of the contact Centre are covered.
Person Specification
  • General standard of general education.
  • Good working knowledge of PAS systems (training can be provided).
  • Ability to understand and comply with the Data Protection Act and maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Computer literate, with proficiency in MS Windows and Outlook.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
