Patient Contact Clerk

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Patient Contact Clerk to join our team at Medway NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Call Centre, you will play a vital role in ensuring that patients receive exceptional care and support.
Key Responsibilities- Promptly answer general telephone enquiries from patients and other members of the public, treating each contact with courtesy, discretion, and tact.
- Book, amend, cancel, or confirm appointments in line with Trust Policies.
- Confirm patient information and update demographic details on the relevant booking system.
- Utilize the Mjog text messaging system to send patients notifications when requested.
- Assist in promoting Quality of Care and maintaining standards within the department.
- Provide cover for Patient Contact colleagues during periods of absence, coordinating leave booking to ensure the opening hours of the contact centre are covered.
- General standard of general education.
- Good working knowledge of PAS systems (training can be provided).
- Ability to understand and comply with the Data Protection Act and maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Computer literate, with proficiency in MS Windows and Outlook.
- Excellent customer service skills.
