Birmingham, Birmingham, United Kingdom AUTISM WEST MIDLANDS Full time

Autistic adults in the West Midlands deserve the best possible support to thrive in their communities. AUTISM WEST MIDLANDS is committed to delivering high-quality services that meet their unique needs.

The Senior Autism Specialist Key Worker will lead a small team in delivering a dynamic service for autistic adults at risk of admission to inpatient services or requiring additional support to facilitate quicker discharge.

This role offers a unique opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of autistic adults with mental health needs. As a key member of our team, you will provide coordination and direct support, using intensive, direct interventions to prevent avoidable admissions to inpatient services.

Key aspects of the role include supervising a team of Key Workers, representing and leading the Key Worker service, developing systems and processes to collect data and form reports, and promoting the service through networking with health professionals.

We are seeking an experienced professional with a strong understanding of autism and mental health challenges, as well as experience of working with autistic adults with complex needs. You will need excellent interpersonal skills, a relevant qualification, and the ability to influence others and advocate on behalf of the service and the person being supported.

We offer a competitive salary of £34,000 per annum, a supportive management team, and a range of benefits, including a free DBS check, Bupa Healthcare cash back scheme, and employee assistance scheme.
