Job Title: ENT Specialist in Otolaryngology

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated medical professional to join the NHS as an ENT Specialist in Otolaryngology at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford. This is a 12-month whole-time post offering the opportunity to work as a general ENT consultant in a busy teaching hospital.

The appointment can be on a whole-time or part-time basis, and we welcome applications from those who wish to job share.

About the Role

This position provides the chance to deliver a comprehensive ENT service at secondary care level with an on-call commitment of 1 in 14. The successful candidate will participate in emergency service cover at consultant level and contribute to teaching, training, and research activities within the department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide general ENT elective and emergency care services
  • Participate in clinical governance activities, including clinical audit and quality improvement initiatives
  • Contribute to teaching and training programs for medical students and junior doctors
Person Specification

To be considered for this role, candidates should have:

  • Full GMC registration with a licence to practice
  • A Medical Degree
  • Entry on the GMC Specialist Register for ENT via CCT (with a proposed CCT date within 6 months of interview) or CESR
  • Experience of working in the NHS at registrar level or higher
Salary Information

The estimated salary for this post is £105,504 to £139,882 per annum/pro rata based on location and experience.
