About the Role

The Door Ambassador is a key member of our hospitality team, responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests from the moment they arrive. As a Door Ambassador, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for their entire stay.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and escort guests to their rooms, ensuring a warm and welcoming experience.
  • Open doors and assist guests and visitors entering and leaving the property, providing a seamless and efficient experience.
  • Assist with luggage, storage, and retrieval, demonstrating a high level of attention to detail.
  • Supply guests with directions and information about the hotel and local area, showcasing your knowledge and expertise.
  • Arrange transportation for guests and visitors, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Communicate parking procedures with guests and visitors, providing clear and concise information.
  • Be a brand ambassador, embodying the values and spirit of Marriott International and the W brand.
  • Follow company policies and procedures in reporting accidents and injuries, prioritizing guest safety and well-being.
  • Maintain awareness of undesirable persons on property premises, ensuring a secure and comfortable environment for all guests.
  • Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, reflecting the high standards of Marriott International.
  • Maintain confidentiality of information shared by guests, upholding the trust and discretion expected of a hospitality professional.
  • Welcome, acknowledge, anticipate, and address guests' needs, providing a personalized and exceptional experience.
  • Speak using clear and professional language, using appropriate etiquette and tone.
  • Use proper manual handling techniques when assisting with luggage, prioritizing guest safety and comfort.
  • Assist with valet parking when required, demonstrating a high level of flexibility and adaptability.
  • Perform other reasonable job duties requested by the Manager, embracing a team-oriented and collaborative approach.

About You

We are seeking a Door Ambassador who possesses a keen eye for detail, strong organization and multi-tasking skills, and confidence interacting with guests. You will be a natural communicator, with excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills. A positive mindset and genuine passion for working in hospitality are essential for success in this role.

The W Edinburgh is a 12-storey hotel located in the heart of the city, offering 244 stylish guestrooms and suites. Our hotel features a rooftop bar and outdoor terrace, a W Lounge, a restaurant collaboration with SUSHISAMBA, a FIT workout facility, and an AWAY spa.
