Clinical Radiotherapy Technologist

Deliver high-quality Radiotherapy Physics services to the Gloucestershire Oncology Centre, ensuring patients receive safe, accurate, and efficient treatment using modern techniques and equipment.

Collaborate with the team to provide scientific advice and contribute to the development of new projects.

Work closely with physicists, technologists, engineers, radiographers, and clinicians to plan and deliver treatments.

Utilize Varian linacs, Xstrahl superficial units, Elekta Flexitron HDR afterloaders, and Canon CT scanners to deliver radiotherapy to patients across Gloucestershire.

Work in a friendly and supportive team environment to deliver an excellent service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to routine work provided by the department in accordance with approved protocols and health and safety policies.
  • Manage own work and project work, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Deliver presentations or tutorials to colleagues and stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Appropriate experience working as an RT technologist.
  • BSc Physics or related field.
  • MSc in Medical Physics or related field.
  • Understanding of IRR and IR(ME)R regulations.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft packages, including spreadsheets.
  • HCPC Registered Clinical Technologist.
