Education and Welfare Support Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Advisor to join our team at BIMM University. This role is crucial in ensuring students with learning needs or disabilities receive the highest quality support services.
About the Role- Manage a caseload of students, providing proactive assistance from application through to their first semester and beyond.
- Work closely with applicants and students to identify and address their learning needs, assist in obtaining diagnostic reports, and explore referral options.
- Liaise with the DSA Team and NMH providers to set up support and funding, ensuring students receive necessary assistance.
- Develop learner profiles and communicate individual needs to relevant staff, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to safeguarding policies.
- Actively advocate for equity, diversity, and inclusion in all student wellbeing activities, becoming a strong ally for all students.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting students with special educational needs. The ideal candidate will possess a good standard of general education, previous experience supporting young adults with SEND, and strong administrative abilities.
We offer a competitive salary of £28,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience, and a range of benefits including part-time working hours, opportunities for professional development, and a supportive work environment.
