Job Title: Risk Management Professional

We are seeking a skilled Risk Management Professional to lead the delivery of complex safety systems and defence requirements across numerous platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safety Analysis e.g. HAZOPS, FFA, FTA, FMECA following company safety protocol.
  • Create safety requirements for the system, ensuring system design meets targets.
  • Be able to reasonably convey complex safety issues / improvements to internal and external stakeholders to influence their consideration of safety decisions.
  • Work in collaboration with different disciplines to maximise the highest quality outputs.
  • Support audits at both external and internal design reviews.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience conveying and liaising Systems Safety within the UK Defence industry.
  • Degree/HND/HNC in Safety Management/Engineering/related discipline OR equivalent relevant experience.
  • Acknowledgement, knowledge and application of Safety Standards - preferably IEC 61508 and Def Stan 00-056.
  • Knowledge of safety assurance of COTS PE based systems or high integrity software.
  • Experience with safety/reliability analysis techniques such as FMECA, FTA, FFA and hazard identification and analysis.
