Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled IT Security Risk Manager to join our team at Staysure Group. As a key member of our risk management function, you will be responsible for identifying and mitigating IT and technology-related risks that could impact our business.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain our risk management framework to ensure it remains effective and up-to-date.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and update risk registers to reflect changing risk landscapes.
- Provide expert advice to stakeholders on IT and technology-related risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure risks are managed effectively and drive continuous improvement.
- Manage risk documentation, policies, and procedures to ensure they are aligned with our risk management framework.
- Enhance our risk management system and reporting to provide timely and accurate information to stakeholders.
- Manage Technology and Business Resilience risk appetites and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) to ensure they are aligned with our risk management framework.
- Implement robust digital IT and change processes to ensure they are aligned with our risk management framework.
- Coordinate risk management training to ensure our team has the necessary skills and knowledge to manage risks effectively.
- Oversee risk event management and root cause analysis to ensure we learn from incidents and improve our risk management practices.
- Support the Head of Risk and Governance and Director of Risk and Compliance to ensure our risk management function is aligned with our overall business strategy.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to ensure our risk management function remains effective and efficient.
Requirements
- Relevant IT/Technology risk qualification, such as CISSP or CISM.
- Experience in IT risk management, audit, or control within financial services.
- Understanding of FCA regulation and its application to IT and technology-related risks.
- Excellent communication and attention to detail to ensure effective risk management practices.
- Strong planning and organisational skills to manage multiple risks and stakeholders.
- Effective presentation and influencing skills to communicate risk management information to stakeholders.
- Ability to perform under pressure to ensure timely and accurate risk management information.
- Commercial awareness to ensure our risk management practices are aligned with our business strategy.
Desirable Skills
- Experience within the insurance industry, particularly in the area of IT and technology-related risks.
- Good understanding of The Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA) and its application to IT and technology-related risks.
