Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Phlebotomy Specialist to join our team at Alderley Edge Medical Practice, a forward-thinking primary care organisation. As a key member of our clinical team, you will be responsible for performing phlebotomy clinics and providing excellent patient care.

About the Role
  • Main Duties:
  • Perform high-quality phlebotomy services on patients according to standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure accurate identification and labelling of patient samples.
  • Provide effective measures to reduce patient anxiety related to blood taking procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and secure records of patient data using EMIS.
  • Administer flu vaccinations and other vaccines as required.
  • Monitor stock control and maintain clinical rooms and fridges according to guidelines.
  • Deliver opportunistic health promotion where appropriate.

Alderley Edge Medical Practice is based in Alderley Edge Medical Centre at the Festival Hall. Our practice offers excellent facilities for both patients and staff, with a purpose-built modern building in the heart of Alderley Edge.

Requirements
  • Essential Qualifications: GCSEs grade A to C in English and Maths; Qualified to NVQ level three.
  • Desirable Experience: Experience working in a GP practice, as a Healthcare Assistant, within the NHS or Primary Care; Experience with EMIS.
Salary and Benefits

This role offers an estimated salary of £25,000 - £35,000 per annum, dependent on experience. You will also benefit from a range of additional perks, including mileage reimbursement and access to ongoing training and development opportunities.
