Job Title: Adult Diabetes Specialist DietitianAbout the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Adult Diabetes Specialist Dietitian to join our team at The Diabetes Times. As a key member of our dietetic team, you will play a vital role in providing evidence-based dietetic advice to adults with diabetes.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide expert dietetic advice to adults with diabetes, including carbohydrate counting education, insulin pump therapy, and continuous glucose monitoring.
  • Develop and deliver diabetes group education sessions, including DAFNE and carbohydrate counting sessions, both virtually and face-to-face.
  • Support the Team Lead in monitoring, developing, and evolving the dietetic service, as well as providing support to junior members of the team.
  • Work closely with other Diabetes Dietitians within the Trust to lead on clinical and service development projects.
  • Seek opportunities to lead on service improvement, audit, and research, raising the profile of Dietetics within the team and organisation.
Requirements

We are looking for a Dietitian with strong communication, organisational, team working, and leadership skills, with a passion for Diabetes. You should be focused on providing a high-quality dietetic service that is evidence-based and responsive to the changing needs of the NHS and this patient group.
