Job Opportunity in Birmingham

This exciting opportunity has arisen for a Helpdesk Planner/Scheduler to join our team in Birmingham. We are looking for a highly motivated and organized individual who can utilize their skills in scheduling software and IT systems to deliver exceptional results.

The salary for this position is £11,440 per annum, and the working hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 - 17:00.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Scheduling management: Utilize advanced software to manage job delivery for the engineering team.
  2. Resource deployment: Ensure the correct resource is allocated for first-time fixes using internal engineers or subcontractors, meeting specified SLAs.
  3. Job completion: Manage completion, ensuring all parts and materials are accounted for and required documentation is completed.
  4. Maintenance task execution: Execute maintenance tasks according to contract specifications.

Main Duties:

  1. Schedule reactive, remedial, and planned works to suitable resources, considering location, expertise, and response targets.
  2. Accurately record job-related information on IT systems.
  3. Optimize engineer schedules for maximum productivity.
  4. Follow up on incomplete jobs and reallocate as necessary.
  5. Monitor engineer travel and activity, addressing issues promptly.
  6. Arrange third-party attendance as required, including Purchase Orders and Work Requests, and obtain completion information.
  7. Ensure jobs are completed within response times and costs.
  8. Handle communications professionally and promptly.
  9. Account for non-productive time in the system.
  10. Erectly escalate issues related to specific jobs, clients, or engineers.
  11. Comply with Group and company policies and procedures at all times.
  12. Report any deficiencies in systems of work or equipment that may affect service delivery or pose a health risk.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in scheduling or coordinating roles, preferably in an engineering or technical environment.
  • Proficiency in using scheduling software and IT systems.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
