Patient Access and Registration Specialist

We are currently seeking a skilled professional to work in a part-time, rotating shift position at North Metro Knoxville Medical Center.

In this role, you will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and recording demographic, insurance/financial, and clinical data from multiple sources.

Estimated Annual Salary: $55,000 - $75,000

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Gather and record demographic, insurance/financial, and clinical data from various sources.
  2. Obtain required information and signatures for scheduling, registration, and billing purposes.
  3. Evaluate patient compliance with payor requirements for medical necessity and pre-certification.
  4. Verify third-party eligibility and benefits to ensure accurate payment.
  5. Foster excellent customer service with patients and their representatives.
  6. Explain the hospital's revenue cycle expectations and provide resolution options for personal liabilities.
