About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate SEN Tutor to join our team at Prospero Teaching. The ideal candidate will have experience working with students with special educational needs, particularly those with ASD, ADHD & cognitive issues.

The tutor will work closely with a young person in year 11, creating and delivering 1:1 tailored lessons to support their academic and personal development. This is an ongoing placement, with hours dependent on the young person's needs.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents and colleagues.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and deliver 1:1 tailored lessons for a young person with ASD, ADHD & cognitive issues
  • Collaborate with Prospero Teaching to develop a personalized learning plan for the student
  • Monitor and report on the student's progress, making recommendations for future support

Requirements:

  • QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Experience working with students with special educational needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to commit to the young person and work for the duration of the placement
