We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Learning Support Professional at a Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) school in Durham. This dynamic institution caters to young people aged 2-19 with diverse special educational needs, fostering an inclusive environment where every pupil can reach their full potential.

The normal working pattern is Monday-Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, with a long-term contract available. Our organization prioritizes adaptability and flexibility to ensure the perfect balance between work and personal life.

This role involves:

  • Fully enhanced DBS clearance or willingness to obtain one.
  • Implementing personalized curriculums and care plans to meet pupils' unique requirements.
  • Collaborating with pupils on both a 1:1 basis and in group settings, facilitating effective communication.
  • Contributing to lesson planning and delivery, ensuring a holistic and supportive learning environment.
  • Working closely with teachers, therapists, and other teams to create a tailored support system for pupils.
