Learning Support Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Specialist to join our team at Prospero Teaching. As an experienced educator, you will work closely with a young person in year 11 who requires personalized support due to ASD, ADHD, and cognitive issues related to sensory processing difficulties.
The role involves creating tailored 1:1 lessons, planning, and delivering education that caters to the individual's needs. This is a challenging yet rewarding opportunity for someone who can make a positive impact on a young person's life.
About the RoleThis is an ongoing placement, potentially lasting until the young person secures a suitable school placement. Hours may vary depending on the individual's requirements. Our competitive hourly rate ranges from GBP25-GBP30, reflecting the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.
We welcome applications from educators who have:
- Experience working with SEN students in a 1:1 or small group setting
- QTS (desired but not essential)
- A patient and creative approach to teaching
- Success in managing challenging behavior and engaging disaffected pupils
To be considered for this role, you must hold a valid right to work in the UK, an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate (registered with the online update service), and provide references covering the last two years of employment. Commitment to the young person and ability to work throughout the placement duration are also essential.
