About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Children's Residential Support Worker to join our team in Droitwich. As a key member of our residential service, you will play a vital role in supporting young people aged 14-17 with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and challenging behaviours.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support and care to young people, promoting their social, emotional, and behavioral development.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with young people, staff, and external professionals to ensure a safe and supportive environment.
  • Encourage and facilitate activities that promote independence, self-esteem, and life skills.
  • Manage challenging behaviors in a safe and respectful manner, working collaboratively with the team to develop and implement strategies.
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of a homely and welcoming environment, promoting a sense of belonging and community.
Requirements
  • Experience working with young people with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and challenging behaviors.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, providing support and guidance to colleagues as needed.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with young people, staff, and external professionals.
  • Valid full driver's license and access to a car, as transportation of young people may be required.
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to make a positive impact on the lives of young people.
