Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Payroll Assistant to join our team at Huntress in Maidstone. As a key member of the finance team, you will be responsible for processing payroll duties, preparing documents, and ensuring compliance with tax, NI, and pension contributions.

About the Role:
  • Process annual, quarterly, monthly, and weekly payrolls
  • Prepare and draft documents such as pay slips, P45s, and P60s
  • Submit Real Time Information (RTI) to HMRC as required
  • End-of-year processing and reconciliations
  • Process tax code changes and new starters, leavers, absence, statutory leave, and pay
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships within the team and with management
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years experience in a busy payroll function
  • Grade C and above at GCSE English & Maths
  • In-depth understanding of UK payroll legislation and compliance
  • Ability to work on own initiative, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively
Estimated Salary:

£30,000 per annum
