Job Responsibilities

As an Activities Coordinator at Avery Healthcare, you will be responsible for developing and delivering engaging activities that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our residents. Your primary focus will be to support the wellbeing and quality of life for our residents, promoting physical, cognitive, and social wellbeing through a range of activities and events.

Main Duties
  • Work closely with the Wellbeing Coordinator to plan and implement activities that meet the needs of our residents, ensuring a diverse and engaging program that caters to different interests and abilities.
  • Establish links with local community groups, schools, and other organizations to create opportunities for intergenerational engagement and access to external resources.
  • Monitor and report any changes in residents' physical or emotional condition to the Wellbeing Coordinator, Home Manager, and care staff, ensuring seamless communication and coordination of care.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as a positive attitude towards older people and a commitment to delivering high-quality activities and events.

A minimum of 1 year's experience working with older people in a residential setting is essential, ideally within a dementia-specific environment.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is £27,000 - £34,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits, including comprehensive training, career development opportunities, and a supportive work environment.
