Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and inspiring Religious Education (RE) Teacher to join our team at Wayman Learning Trust. As an RE Teacher, you will be responsible for designing engaging and thought-provoking lessons that delve into diverse religious traditions, philosophies, and ethical dilemmas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Empower students to explore their own beliefs and values through interactive and inclusive lessons.
  • Deliver the RE curriculum effectively across all Key Stages (KS3-KS5), ensuring students gain a strong foundation in key concepts, core philosophies, and the historical development of major world religions.
  • Cultivate a love for lifelong learning about religion and its role in society, motivating students to see the power of faith, ethics, and philosophy in shaping the world around them.

Requirements

  • A strong understanding of religious traditions, philosophical concepts, and various teaching methodologies is essential.
  • A relevant teaching qualification (QTS desirable) and experience teaching RE across a range of Key Stages (up to KS5) is a must.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills are key.
  • A passion for fostering respectful discussions about faith, ethics, and the meaning of life within the diverse community is crucial.
  • The ability to motivate and challenge students of all backgrounds and beliefs is vital.
