About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sterile Services Technician to join our team. As an entry-level member, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in a fast-paced environment.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the effective preparation of sterile consumables by decontaminating, inspecting, assembling, and packing them within predefined quality standards. They will also rigorously check, wash, lay up, and pack sets of theatre instruments to meet contract specifications.

In addition, they will safely operate and monitor machines and equipment, effectively manage inventory, and maintain accurate records using our tracking and traceability system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare sterile consumables for use in surgical procedures
  • Rigorously inspect, clean, and assemble theatre instruments
  • Safely operate and maintain equipment, including washer/disinfectors, ultrasonic cleaners, and sterilisers
  • Manage inventory and record repairs and missing items on our tracking system
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must be educated to a good general standard with strong verbal and numerical abilities. You should also possess basic IT skills to operate our track and traceability system.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive annual salary of £22,383.00, plus a 5% performance bonus. You will also receive generous shift allowances for working overtime or unsociable hours, as well as a higher cost of living allowance if you work in London.
