About the Role

This unpaid position requires approximately 10-12 days per year, including meetings, sub-committee participation, and external event representation. The new trustee will contribute to strategic planning, nature conservation projects, professional development, biodiversity policies, and community education.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Strategic Planning: Participate in setting the overall direction of Habitats & Heritage, ensuring its solvency, effectiveness, and compliance with laws.
  2. Nature Conservation Projects: Contribute to initiatives that promote conservation and protect biodiversity.
  3. Professional Development: Engage in activities that enhance knowledge and skills relevant to conservation and biodiversity.
  4. Biodiversity Policies: Help develop and implement policies that support the conservation of habitats and species.
  5. Community Education: Assist in promoting environmental awareness and education within the community.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to Habitats & Heritage's values, an understanding of SW London habitats and heritage, teamwork skills, and active board participation.

Compensation

This is an unpaid role. However, we estimate the annual salary based on comparable roles in the sector to be around £20,000-£25,000.
