Biodiversity Conservation Specialist

Job Title: Biodiversity Conservation Specialist
Join the Species and Communities Program as a Biodiversity Conservation Specialist and contribute to the conservation of Western Australia's unique species and ecosystems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain databases of threatened species and ecological communities.
- Undertake technical and administrative tasks, including data curation, entry, and distribution.
- Work with supervision to achieve program goals and objectives.
Selection Criteria:
- Knowledge of conservation biology principles for flora, fauna, or ecological communities.
- Demonstrated technical ability with databases and information technology.
- Excellent literacy and numeracy skills, with the ability to interpret spatial and tabular data correctly.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team and independently, operating with self-motivation, organisation, and efficiency.
Eligibility: To be eligible for permanent appointment, it is essential to have Australian citizenship, New Zealand citizenship, or Australian permanent residency status or a visa with entitlement to live and work in Australia for the term of the contract.
