Role Overview

The Emerald Group is seeking a highly skilled Senior Consultant to support their insurance and reinsurance clients across risk and capital, and investment and asset liability management.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing expert support and advice to clients on risk and capital management, and investment and ALM strategies.
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, and building a network of contacts in the life insurance industry.
  • Identifying and developing new consultancy opportunities with clients and prospects.
  • Delivering high-quality services as a subject matter expert in key areas of experience.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to deliver cross-practice projects, and promoting insurance offerings to a wider audience.
  • Developing and shaping new investment propositions for clients and prospects.
  • Requiring a strong understanding of actuarial techniques, and IT skills, as well as a proven commitment to continuous professional development.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Qualifications as a UK actuary, or a professional investment or quantitative risk qualification.
  • Relevant post-qualification experience in a consultancy or 'in-house' role.
  • Strategic business acumen, and knowledge of risks facing the insurance industry.
