Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Actuarial Expert to join our team at M&G plc. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Group Reporting team in the production of the Group's annual report and consolidated financial statements, with a focus on the actuarial components of external reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. To support the Group Reporting team in the production of the Group's annual report and consolidated financial statements.
  2. To deliver the Group's Solvency II Pillar III narrative reporting, including the production of the single group SFCR.
  3. To maintain effective working relationships with other teams in M&G plc Finance.
  4. To oversee the outsourced IAS 19 defined benefit pension valuation.
  5. To support the production of Group Audit committee and Board papers as required.

Requirements:

  1. Qualified actuary with post-qualification experience.
  2. Knowledge of IFRS and Solvency II reporting requirements.
  3. Experience of the actuarial components of insurance accounting.
  4. Detailed knowledge of financial reporting regulatory requirements and legislative frameworks.
  5. Knowledge of insurance products, systems, and distribution methods.
  6. Experience of dealing with complex transactions.
  7. Good knowledge of industry trends, best practice, and developments.
