Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse to join our team at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital. As a key member of our neonatal unit, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centered care to critically ill newborns and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, develop, implement, and evaluate care plans for neonates in conjunction with qualified nursing staff.
  • Support mothers with their infant feeding choices, adhering to Trust policies and the Breast Feeding Initiative.
  • Assist in clinical procedures under the supervision of qualified staff, recognizing a sick infant and initiating appropriate resuscitation.
  • Liaise with the Family Care Team and Neonatal Outreach Team to promote parent education, discharge planning, and family support.
  • Maintain accurate records of all care given, ensuring confidentiality and adhering to the Freedom for Information Act.
  • Effectively utilize information technology to enhance patient care, in accordance with the Trust's Cyber Code of Conduct.
