Serving Scotland's water needs requires a collaborative effort. Our team of scientists, analysts, and support staff work together to ensure the water flowing from taps is safe and high-quality.

As a Scientific Water Quality Administrator, you'll play a critical role in our Technical Support Team at Juniper House in Edinburgh. Your primary responsibility will be to assist our teams in managing and analysing water and wastewater samples from across Scotland.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Register and receive high volumes of water and wastewater samples from internal and external customers.
  2. Investigate and resolve common customer queries to maintain a smooth workflow.
  3. Schedule and prioritise work within your team to ensure efficient sample processing.
  4. Perform routine maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment.

Requirements:

  1. Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and customers.
  2. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including table formatting.
  3. Attention to detail to ensure accurate data entry and laboratory results.

This role is based at Juniper House in Edinburgh and is not suitable for flexible or home working. Performance-driven pay progression will allow you to move through the range to a maximum of £30,000 (part-time pro rata).
