Regulatory Advisor - Wastewater Operations

About the Job:

You will join our Waste Water Strategy & Environmental Team as a Regulatory Advisor, working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to maintain compliance and drive business success.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide regulatory support to West area Wastewater Operational teams and Capital Investment delivery teams.
  2. Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement regulatory strategies.
  3. Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including SEPA and local authorities.
  4. Prioritise tasks and manage competing demands to achieve business goals.
  5. Contribute to the development of regulatory guidance within the business.

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of European and UK environmental legislation, particularly Scottish regulations.
  • Qualification in a scientific discipline and practical knowledge of pollution control, wastewater collection and treatment.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Full UK driving licence for face-to-face meetings.

This challenging role offers a competitive salary of £62,000 - £72,000 per annum, reflecting your skills and experience.
