A highly skilled and dedicated SEN Teacher is required to join an outstanding school in Oxfordshire. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in creating a successful learning environment for pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), particularly those with ASD and Communication and Interaction needs.

Job Summary

The SEN Teacher will be responsible for developing and implementing specialist interventions and strategies to support the SEN needs of pupils, ensuring positive outcomes and fostering mainstream integration opportunities.

This is a permanent, full-time role starting in January 2025. The salary is estimated to be around £40,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Leadership and Development: Work with colleagues to lead the development of a bespoke provision for pupils with SEN needs.
  2. Interventions and Planning: Oversee the planning and provision of specialist ASD/Communication and Interaction interventions across the whole school.
  3. Collaboration: Direct the work of the Teaching Assistant, and liaise with the SENCO, Trust Lead SRP Teachers, and Trust Director of SEN.
  4. Professional Development: Provide formal and informal training, development, and support to school staff to enhance their understanding and strategies for supporting SEN pupils.
  5. Individualized Curriculum: Plan and implement a highly individualized curriculum for pupils with specific SEN needs.
  6. Monitoring and Communication: Implement tracking processes to monitor key data for pupils in the provision and promote positive communication with parents.
