We are looking for a highly skilled SEN Teaching and Support Specialist to join our team at Academics Ltd. As a Mental Health Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Social and Emotional Mental Health Needs. This is a great opportunity for graduates in Psychology, Counselling or Criminology to gain experience working with children aged 4-11 who require additional support.

Our school is an outstanding specialist school for children with Social and Emotional Mental Health Needs. We pride ourselves on providing a supportive and inclusive environment for all students. As a member of our team, you will work closely with trained therapists, counsellors and psychologists to develop strategies to support student well-being.

We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills, patience, and empathy. Experience in a similar role is desirable, but not essential. Graduates with relevant qualifications and experience will also be considered. The successful candidate will have the ability to adapt to new situations and use their own initiative to support students. Resilience and confidence to work with challenging behaviour are essential.
