Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Lead Nurse to join our team at University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our Critical Care Service and ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to critically ill adults.

About the Role

This is a fixed-term contract for 12 months, providing maternity cover. As a Clinical Lead Nurse, you will be responsible for service development, quality improvement implementation, and operational delivery. You will lead a team of nurses and work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure that our patients receive the best possible care.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop the Critical Care Service, ensuring compliance with national guidelines and standards.
  • Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
  • Oversee the training and education of nursing staff to ensure they have the necessary skills to provide high-quality care.
  • Work collaboratively with the Medical Director and other stakeholders to achieve service goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Degree in Nursing or equivalent qualification.
  • Significant recent leadership experience in critical care.
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent clinical skills and knowledge.
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced environment and ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is £83,000 - £109,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits including pension scheme, annual leave, and opportunities for professional development.
