Salary Range: Estimated £80,000-£100,000 per annum (dependent on experience). We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Band 8a Lead Nurse to join our Adult Critical Care Transfer Service at University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust. As part of the Retrieve team, you will be responsible for leading and managing a multi-professional team to deliver high-quality patient care. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your leadership skills and contribute to the continuous improvement of service delivery.

Main Duties:
  1. Lead and model a multi-professional team to ensure high-quality clinical care.
  2. Provide specialized nursing care for critically ill adults requiring transfer.
  3. Oversee the Training and Education team to support a high-quality in-house education program.
  4. Monitor service effectiveness through audit and statistical data collection.
  5. Ensure reliable submission of operational, clinical, and performance data to national databases.
Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will need significant recent leadership experience in critical care, demonstrable significant and recent critical care experience, evidence of postgraduate specialist training to Masters level or equivalent, and recent relevant experience with intra-hospital and inter-hospital transfer.
