PMLD Teaching Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a PMLD Teaching Assistant at a special educational needs school near Preston. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties.

Job Responsibilities
  • Supporting children in small groups or one-on-one, helping them to achieve their full potential.
  • Working with challenging behaviors, using strategies to promote positive relationships and reduce conflicts.
  • Assisting with personal care, ensuring the health and well-being of our students.

Job Details

  • Location: Near Preston
  • Position: PMLD Teaching Assistant
  • Hours: 8:15am-3:30pm
  • Type of Work: Temporary
  • Full time/Part time: Full time only
  • Estimated Salary: £85 per day (dependent on experience)
What We're Looking For
  • Team Teach qualification desirable
  • Up-to-date safeguarding training within the last year (desirable but training can be provided)
  • Relevant experience supporting children essential
  • Hold right to work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child-related references
