PMLD Teaching Assistant
We are seeking a qualified individual to support pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties at a special educational needs school near Preston. This role would be ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting children with complex needs.
The Job Role- Supporting children in small groups or one-on-one, promoting their social, emotional and academic development.
- Working with challenging behaviors, using strategies to de-escalate conflicts and promote positive relationships.
- Assisting with personal care, ensuring the health and well-being of our students.
Position Details
- Location: Near Preston
- Position: PMLD Teaching Assistant
- Hours: 8:15am-3:30pm
- Type of Work: Temporary
- Full time/Part time: Full time only
- Estimated Salary: £85 per day (dependent on experience)
- Team Teach qualification desirable
- Up-to-date safeguarding training within the last year (desirable but training can be provided)
- Relevant experience supporting children essential
- Hold right to work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
- Provide two professional child-related references
