A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a motivated and inspirational SEN teacher to join our special needs primary school in Preston.

This long-term cover role for maternity throughout the 2024/25 academic year starts in November 2024, on a part-time basis. The daily pay is estimated at £162.61+, depending on experience.

The successful applicant will be responsible for teaching a class of 10 pupils aged 6-11 with complex learning difficulties, PMLD, and autism.

The school's supportive environment allows for the implementation of tailored interventions and differentiated curriculum to cater for diverse abilities and needs.

Key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Demonstrating exceptional classroom practice and teaching skills
  • Teaching children with generic learning difficulties and autism
  • Having knowledge of the EYFS and Key Stage 1 curriculum
  • Developing creativity, passion, and forward thinking
  • Leading a small classroom team

Applicants should possess QTS status or an equivalent teaching qualification, have knowledge of SEN, and undergo an Enhanced DBS Disclosure.
