About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Specialist to join a Special Educational Needs Secondary School in Preston. The school caters to children aged 11-19 with diverse learning needs, including MLD, SLD, ASD, sensory impairments, and physical disabilities.

This is a long-term role starting as soon as possible, with a daily rate ranging from £88.51 depending upon experience. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting and enriching the learning experiences of all pupils.

  1. Assisting with the implementation of individual education plans
  2. Supporting pupils with their learning and personal care needs
  3. Promoting independence and inclusion within the school community
  4. Collaborating with the teaching team to create engaging and inclusive lessons
  5. Monitoring and recording pupil progress

The ideal candidate will have experience working with pupils with Special Educational Needs, a strong understanding of individual needs associated with various disabilities, excellent communication skills, patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children's development.
