We're seeking a dedicated and empathetic Specialist SEMH Support Worker to join our team in Islington. This role involves supporting teenagers with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, helping them overcome challenges and transition back into a mainstream learning environment.

Job Summary

This is a full-time position, approximately 08:30-16:00, Monday-Friday, term time only. The salary for this role is £96-105 per day PAYE.

As a Specialist SEMH Support Worker, you'll work closely with students who require additional support due to emotional or behavioural difficulties. Your primary responsibility will be to help manage behaviour in the classroom, ensuring a safe and positive learning environment.

You will also provide one-to-one or small group support to help students re-engage with their education, developing strategies to boost their confidence and self-esteem.

The Role
  • Supporting students with SEMH needs in a classroom setting
  • Helping students develop strategies to manage their emotions and behaviours
  • Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals to create personalised learning plans
