About the Role:
This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires a skilled professional to provide safe and supportive contact arrangements between children and their parents or relatives. As a Family Contact Specialist, you will be responsible for supervising and assessing contact sessions, providing guidance and support to both children and adults as needed.
Main Responsibilities:
- Contact Supervision: You will supervise contact sessions between children and their parents or relatives, ensuring that the arrangements are safe and beneficial for all parties involved.
- Assessment and Support: You will assess the needs of each family and develop strategies to promote positive relationships and interactions between children and their parents or relatives.
- Record-Keeping: You will maintain accurate and detailed records of all contact sessions, including any issues that may arise.
- Reporting: You will prepare reports for courts and other agencies, outlining the progress and outcomes of contact arrangements.
- Training and Development: You will participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in areas such as child development, family dynamics, and communication techniques.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with children, adults, and other professionals. You will also need to be able to work effectively under pressure, manage conflicting priorities, and maintain confidentiality at all times.
Benefits:
