About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Specialist Support Worker to join our team at Family Link Charity. Our charity provides Saturday and holiday clubs for young people with medical needs, physical, learning, and complex disabilities.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide Support and Care - Work closely with the Play Leader to deliver a safe and stimulating environment for young people with disabilities.
  • Encourage Independence - Support young people to develop independence, self-confidence, and reach their full potential.
  • Develop Relationships - Establish positive relationships with young people, parents/carers, and other staff members.
  • Continuing Professional Development - Undertake additional training and adhere to Family Link's regulations and guidelines.
Requirements
  • Experience and Qualifications - At least 1 year of experience working with young people with disabilities or a keen proven interest in working in this sector.
  • Relevant Skills and Certifications - Relevant childcare qualification (e.g., NVQ2/equivalent) and current First Aid certificate, safeguarding children and adults certificate.

Our staff have been highly trained to support young people's care and health needs.
