About the Role

As a Support Worker Specialist, you will be responsible for providing social and emotional support to residents, either in their homes or in their local community. This may include assisting with personal care, shopping, budgeting, and household tasks.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide social and emotional support, including building and maintaining relationships with friends and family of our residents.
  • Support residents with their personal care needs, including personal hygiene if required.
  • Assist with shopping and budgeting to ensure residents have access to essential items.
  • Carry out household tasks, including cooking, cleaning, and laundry.
  • Engage in activities with residents, such as going for walks, meals, and other experiences they wish to enjoy.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must be a calm and caring individual with a positive outlook. You should possess empathy, sensitivity, and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Computer literacy is also essential.
