Job Title: Event Coordinator for Conference and Banquets
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Event Coordinator for Conference and Banquets. As a key member of our conference and events team, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation, presentation, and service of banquet food and beverage procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Conference & Banqueting Operation Manager and Supervisor in preparing and implementing event details, including menus, room layouts, and audiovisual requirements.
- Help with the setup and coordination of conferences and events, ensuring that all logistical arrangements are in place.
- Provide exceptional customer service, responding to client inquiries and resolving any issues that may arise.
- Work closely with the Food & Beverage team to ensure seamless execution of events.
- Maintain accurate records and files, including function sheets, banquet reservation books, and customer contact information.
- Collaborate with the Conference & Banqueting Operation Manager to identify business opportunities and develop strategies to increase sales.
- Participate in meetings and training sessions to stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices.
- Familiarize yourself with hotel facilities and services, highlighting them to prospective clients and guests.
- Ensure that banquet service personnel are aware of all necessary arrangements and preparations regarding functions and events.
- Review accounts and report any discrepancies to the Conference & Banqueting Operation Supervisor.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- A strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Experience in hospitality or a related field is an asset.
Salary Range: $45,000 - $60,000 per year
