Care and Support Opportunity

We are excited to offer a challenging and rewarding role as a Leaving Care Personal with Tameside Council. As a member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting young people transitioning out of care.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Deliver tailored support to young people, empowering them to achieve independence and reach their full potential
  • Foster strong relationships with service users, acknowledging their individuality and addressing their specific needs
  • Promote the voice and rights of young people, ensuring their concerns are heard and addressed
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive records, highlighting progress and outcomes
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
  1. A recognized qualification in childcare or youth work (Level 3 NVQ or equivalent) is required
  2. Proven experience in working with children or young people, preferably in a care or support capacity
  3. Strong understanding of child development, trauma, and safeguarding principles
  4. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective relationships with diverse individuals
Competitive Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 per annum
