About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Care Specialist to join our team working with Tameside Council. The successful candidate will have a strong background in direct work with children or young people, including knowledge of child development, trauma, and safeguarding.
Key Responsibilities:
- To provide high-quality support to children and young people in care, focusing on their emotional and practical needs.
- To work closely with social workers, carers, and other professionals to ensure seamless delivery of care services.
- To develop and maintain meaningful relationships with children and young people, building trust and confidence.
- To advocate for the rights and interests of young people, ensuring their voices are heard.
Requirements:
- A Level 3 NVQ in Care of Children and Young People (or equivalent).
- Experience in direct work with children or young people.
- Knowledge of child development, trauma, and safeguarding.
What We Offer:
A competitive salary of £28,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits and opportunities for professional growth and development.
