About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated individual to work as a Leaving Care Personal with Tameside Council. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to young people leaving the care system.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct support to young people leaving care, promoting their independence and well-being
  • Build meaningful relationships with service users, understanding their unique needs and circumstances
  • Advocate on behalf of young people, ensuring their voices are heard and their rights are respected
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, documenting service user progress and outcomes
Requirements:
  1. A Level 3 NVQ in Care of Children and Young People (or equivalent) is essential
  2. Experience working directly with children or young people, preferably in a care or support role
  3. Demonstrated knowledge of child development, trauma, and safeguarding principles
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse individuals
Estimated Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 per annum
