About This Opportunity:

Tameside Council has partnered with Service Care Solutions Ltd to deliver leaving care services. We are seeking a highly skilled Youth Support Coordinator to join our team.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  1. To support young people in leaving care, providing guidance and advice on education, employment, and training opportunities.
  2. To work closely with social workers, carers, and other professionals to ensure effective transition planning.
  3. To develop and implement individualized support plans, addressing the unique needs of each young person.
  4. To monitor progress, evaluating the effectiveness of interventions and making recommendations for improvement.

Requirements:

  • A Level 3 NVQ in Care of Children and Young People (or equivalent).
  • Experience in direct work with children or young people.
  • Knowledge of child development, trauma, and safeguarding.

What We Offer:

A competitive salary of £28,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits and opportunities for professional growth and development.
