Tameside Cared for Children's service is seeking an accomplished Team Manager to lead its team of Social Workers and a Senior Practitioner. As a key member of the management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective delivery of care services to children who are cared for by the Local Authority under a Care Order or section 20.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing a cared for children's team and will possess excellent leadership and communication skills. You will be responsible for line management, supervisory duties, chairing meetings, including strategy meetings and personal child supervision. Additionally, you will play a key role in driving forward practice improvements across the service.

This is an exciting opportunity to join Tameside on its improvement journey, where good progress has already been made. The successful candidate will work closely with other stakeholders to ensure that children receive the best possible care and support. The hybrid working arrangement offers flexibility, with a minimum of 3 days per week spent in the office and a full week when the team is on duty.
