Mental Health Assistant Role in Wokingham School

A mental health assistant is sought by Academics Ltd to work at a lovely primary school in Wokingham. The ideal candidate will be either a psychology graduate or have experience working with ASD, ADHD, and SEN. They should be able to support children with their behaviour for learning in the classroom and help them understand teacher instructions.
The role involves supporting two pupils: one with SEMH and another with ASD and ADHD. As a mental health assistant, you will work closely with the teaching staff to develop strategies for these pupils' individual needs. This is a full-time position with a salary of £80-90 per day.
As a mental health assistant at this primary school, you will promote teamwork and contribute to developing structures that benefit students. You will keep track of pupil progress and record it accordingly.
- Social Learning Support: Assist children in understanding teacher instructions and developing social skills for effective learning.
- Behavioural Guidance: Work with pupils who require extra support for their behaviour, helping them stay focused and engaged during lessons.
