Job Title: Sales Director

As a Sales Director for Rexroth, you will be responsible for generating sales across the entire Bosch Rexroth range in Ireland and Northern Ireland. Your excellent knowledge of factory automation and working knowledge of hydraulics and effective relationship building will ensure we retain our valuable customers in factory automation, automotive electrification, and food and packaging industries while maximizing opportunities in heavy industry.

You will be proactive in your approach and take the initiative to develop your technical ability to exploit new commercial opportunities, including in areas that may be new to you such as marine and heavy industry. The support of electric vehicle manufacturers and alternative energy sectors has been described as some of the best performing sectors in the local economy, so there is huge potential to be realized with our factory automation solutions as well as in other industries.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and implement a business plan to optimize target and focus customers in Ireland and Northern Ireland
  • Identify and promote opportunities for profitable sales growth of our Bosch Rexroth range of products to both new and existing customers
  • Assist in the preparation of detailed quotations and specifications, working with manufacturing plants to ensure customer requirements are met and accurate information is available for system design/drawings, projects, and/or order processing
  • Liaise between customer, project engineers, manufacturing, and design to ensure clear and open communication is maintained at all times
  • Take responsibility for completion, follow-up, and sales support, including coordinating the activities of others to meet customer specifications (e.g., commissioning)
  • Manage multiple customer demands and clearly communicate information B2B, actioning all customer enquiries promptly
  • Maintain customer data and record all visit information and customer activities within our mobile CRM system to ensure accurate and relevant information is available
  • Work with customers to ensure payment terms are effectively managed, pre-empting non-payment and delivery issues

This role is likely to be home-based, but there will be a requirement to regularly travel to St Neots and Cirencester for training and meetings as well as to our other UK sites as required. You must have the right to live and work in both the UK and Republic of Ireland for this position as sponsorship is not available.

Requirements

Essential:

  • Minimum of HND level qualification in either Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic Engineering or significant relevant technical/engineering experience
  • Excellent knowledge of factory automation systems and good knowledge of industrial hydraulic systems
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • High standard of written and spoken English
  • MS Office skills
  • Must be able to effectively use CRM systems and SAP or similar integrated systems
  • Must be able to travel in and around your designated sales territory to visit customers
  • Must be prepared to travel and stay overnight on a regular basis
  • Valid UK driving licence
  • Proven track record of sales excellence

Desirable:

  • Previous experience of sales in the industry/sector
  • Previous technical experience in the industry/sector
