Sales Director

Millennium Gloucester Hotel London Kensington is seeking a Director of Sales who will be responsible for driving the Sales strategy for the Hotel, in line with overall business objectives. To manage and develop the Sales and M&E team, retaining and increasing existing account production through effective and consistent sales service; to develop new accounts via a structured and coordinated sales approach, resulting in the achievement of the hotel profit plan.
The Director of Sales Key Responsibilities will include:
- Driving hotel-specific segment revenue targets as per the budget plan.
- To develop an annual Sales strategy in conjunction with the Hotel General Manager in order to achieve the hotel profit plan.
- Identifying and acting upon new sales opportunities for the development of additional customers in order to increase revenues.
- To capture a greater market share and increase revenues in conjunction with all sales resources.
- To measure existing and potential business in revenue and gross operating profit in accordance with the market segmentation.
- To be responsible for the communication of competitor information and market share analysis.
- To plan local sales promotions for relevant market segments, in order to maximise revenues and maintain competitiveness.
The Experience & Qualifications for Director of Sales:

- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent written/verbal communication and the ability to communicate across all levels of an organization.
- Confident individual who is adept in prioritising and managing multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to take the initiative and deal with unexpected situations and last minute changes.
- Ability to deal with sensitive and confidential data.
The successful candidate will be:
- Enthusiastic, self-motivated, proactive, resourceful with excellent attention to detail.
- Demonstrate excellent presentation, negotiation and communication skills with the customers and other hotel departments.
- Team worker.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast pace environment.
About the Hotel
The Millennium Gloucester Hotel London Kensington is a 4-star deluxe hotel in the heart of charming Kensington, close to Gloucester Road Underground station, allowing convenient access around London.
The hotel boasts 610 spacious guest rooms and guests will be spoilt for choice with the array of dining facilities available, including Humphreys Café & Bar, South West 7 and the Bombay Brasserie.
The hotel is also home to the Millennium Conference Centre, the perfect place to host your event, with a variety of flexible meeting spaces, including 26 versatile function rooms, covering a total of 1,600m2 and the capacity to accommodate up to 600 delegates. The impressive conservatory can cater for up to 300 guests and features palm trees, a piano, exclusive bar area, and dance floor.
