SEMH Learning Support Assistant

Austin Fraser is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEMH Learning Support Assistant to join their experienced team at a SEN school in Luton.
Job OverviewThis role involves working closely with students aged 4-19 years old who have Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs. The ideal candidate will be able to adapt their approach to meet the individual needs of each student and provide support in their academic development.
The salary for this position is £85 - £95 per day, paid on a term-time only basis. This allows for a good work-life balance and the opportunity to focus on providing exceptional education and training to the students.
Responsibilities- Work alongside a team of well-trained SEN specialists to create a positive and supportive learning environment.
- Assist students in achieving their academic potential through tailored education and training.
- Support pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs, adapting your approach to meet their individual needs.
- Serve as a positive and consistent role model for students, building strong relationships with teachers, parents, and pupils.
- Be a positive and passionate individual who understands the challenges faced by SEN students.
- Demonstrate patience and empathy in your role, striving to give your best at all times.
- Have the ability to tailor education and training to individual needs, creating a unique and engaging learning experience.
- Be comfortable working in a dynamic environment where every day brings new challenges and opportunities.
